Davis Bertans is known for his three-point shooting. The Washington Wizards is a 41% career three-point shooter. It seems rare that he misses a three. But Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves the Latvia native made an amazing effort to follow his own missed three.

The Wizards bench reacted appropriately. It was Bertans first dunk of the season.
For a guy that is not known for playing above the rim, Bertans’ effort and finish is commendable. Still, there were some eyes that weren’t impressed with the term “dunk” or “slam.”

This is where the term “a dunk is a dunk” comes in to play. The finish only stamps the effort. Davis Bertans had a putback off his own missed three. That’s impressive enough!
