New York Mets closer Edwin Diaz and his entrance song went viral recently, but his teammate, Daniel Vogelbach, isn't letting him hog the spotlight for long.
Diaz, one of the best closers in baseball, is already a household name to baseball fans. He became an internet sensation, though, after a slickly edited video of his walk-out hit Twitter. After that, his already famous entrance (in New York at least) hit the sharability level of funny cat videos.
That video has everything. The behind-the-back shot of the closer leaving the bullpen and entering the field. The drumbeat of the song picking up just as the fans realize Diaz has entered the field to save the game. And then the trumpet. Oh, that beautiful, mesmerizing, trumpet.

That's as good as it gets. That's pure, unadulterated sports hype, and it's hard to beat.
Credit to Vogelbach, though, who channeled his inner Diaz. On Wednesday, he changed his walk-up to the plate music to one of the greatest bangers from 2003: "Milkshake" by Kelis.

The reason behind the change in music was that the Mets were celebrating the very first editions of "Women's Day" at Citi Field, but hopefully will keep bringing all the boys to the yard for the rest of this season, at least.
